  • 4. Gyeongbokgung Guard Patrol Ceremony
    • • Marches within Gyeongbokgung Palace on Saturdays, and from Gwanghwamun to Insadong on Sundays, where visitors can take photos with the guards.
    • • You can enjoy the performances of the Royal Palace Guard(Sumunjang, Sumungun, and the Chwirachi:traditional military band) throughout the city and the palace grounds.
    • - Period : March–May, September–November (Sat, Sun, and Public Holidays)
    • - Details : (Sat) Inside Gyeongbokgung Palace / (Sun) Gwanghwamun Woldae (Palace Plaza) to Insadong Culture Street
    • ※ Please note that Royal Guard Patrol Ceremony may be moved inside Gyeongbokgung Palace even on Sundays and public holidays, depending on road conditions caused by protests or public rallies.

  • 1. Sharing of Sehwa (New Year’s Good Luck Painting)
    • • Period : During Seollal (Lunar New Year) holiday
    • • Location : Gyeongbokgung Palace Grounds
    • • Details : Following the Sesi-pungsok (seasonal customs) of exchanging Sehwa on the first day of the year, the Sumunjang distributes these paintings, which symbolize wishing for blessings and warding off evil spirits.
